Friend,

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and I'm doing my part by sharing a simple message: Colon cancer is one of the most preventable and curable cancers out there.

Leading an active, physical life and eating plenty of fruits and vegetables are the first steps. But that's not enough; screening and early detection are keys to survival.

Thanks to today's detection technology, timely screening can prevent one in three deaths related to colon cancer. But only one in 10 people survive colon cancer if it's detected at an advanced stage.

Take this simple test to see if you are at risk. Then get the facts on the different screening methods, and talk to your doctor about what option is best for you.

If you're age 50 or older or at high risk of developing colon cancer, now's the time to get screened. Even if you're younger, you can help by forwarding this email to at least five other people you care about.

It's simple: Your colon. Your life. Your call.
